ChallengeNet Incorporated is a privately owned and operated company, founded by James Travis. It is defined as a "Spiritual and Physical health center", and has the primary goal of teaching and empowering people to overcome whatever challenges they face in their lives. It is our belief that by combining the physical health principles found in the martial arts, and the spiritual health principles found in the Bible, an individual can be strengthened to over come any obstacle.
Plans are being made to obtain a physical location for the health center at this time; yet in the meantime James' passion for helping others has led him to encourage and empower people freely through this website. Countless individuals and groups have been helped through his articles, his journal, and on our forums; not to mention the exhibitions he has performed.
Below is a larger image of the floor-plan which James designed himself for the health center. While crude, it makes clear the plans that he has and quite frankly, we like the sense of balance that the design portrays. As well as separate sections for physical and spiritual health and training, the inclusion of a cafe and lounge (serving natural and organic food items of course) is in our opinion very nice and truly completes the health center. In terms of atmosphere, James' vision is not just about work, but also a light, community atmosphere, people looking to simply connect with people and "hang-out" in the cafe/lounge area to relieve some post-work stress can do that if they want. We think the ChallengeNet Health Center will be a valuable resource as well as a unique and fun atmosphere to help a wide variety of people bring a new and lasting sense of order and balance to their Physical and Spiritual lives; and as James says: "Rise to the Challenge!"
